Session on “Expectation Setting”
Make each day count by setting specific goals to succeed, then putting forth every effort to exceed your own expectations” Indian Academy School of Management Studies commenced the classes for the II and IV Semester on 5th March 2020. The session started on an optimistic note with the faculty team headed by Dr.Srinidhi Parthasarathi ,Director,IASMS addressing the students on “Expectation Setting ” . Opening the session Dr. Srinidhi emphasized on the need for management students to differentiate themselves from the rest and be industry ready. With associations like NASSCOM clearly indicating a widening skill gap among management students, Dr.Srinidhi stressed on the need for students to constantly update themselves, stay relevant; develop effective communication skills and time discipline in life. Prof.Shivashankar briefed the students about the calendar of events for the new semester. Two new additions to the MBA time table have been Peer Learning and Business News Analysis. Peer learning would be mutually beneficial and involve the sharing of knowledge, ideas and experience between students on management topics. The News Analysis sessions are intended to infuse analytical skills and essentially help students remain updated on current affairs. This was followed by Dr.Pujaarchana Sahu clearly stating the class attendance requirements during the semester and informing students to strictly comply with the same.
