IASMS conducted an Orientation Programme on the theme “English Language Usage: Inquisitive Instinct” on 21st January 2021 from 2.00 pm to 3:30 pm in Seminar Hall 2. 1st semester MBA Students were present for the orientation programme. The main motive behind this session was to create an interest in gaining proficiency in English among the students. The resource person gave an introduction about Indian independence from British rule, English language has been integral part of curriculum and India now claims to be world’s second largest English speaking country.
Students learnt about the Fundamental principles of English language: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
The importance of English language in corporate shows willingness to go beyond basic business standards. It helps the students to express themselves in language that everyone understands. It will help students to communicate better with their colleagues. It is important for delivering presentation and speeches.
At the end of the session, students were able to appreciate the importance of reviewing grammatical forms of English and the use of these forms in specific communicative contexts, which include: class activities, homework assignments, reading of texts and writing.
