The speaker spoke about some of the new and interesting concepts like EQ – Emotional Quotient, POP – Power of Praise, thinking out of the box and many more effective topics.
The skills for Competitive Edge are: An eternal optimist (stay positive), Willingness to learn and explore (leaving the tradition of doing the things we are already used to), Communication and connectivity (everyone communicates but few connect), Team work and collaboration skills, Critical thinking and reasoning, Integrity and hard work.
Soft skills are an advantage in any environment. Skills like team building, work ethic, creativity and problem-solving are empowering in any role, across industries. Hard skills that are relevant today will not be relevant tomorrow. These skills were not only important for professional life, but for our entire life journey.
The session helped the students in developing and understanding about the essential competitive skills that would contribute to have an edge in the field of management.
