IASMS conducted an Orientation Programme on the theme “Student Aspiration and Informal Modes of Learning” on 18th January 2021 from 11.15 am to 1:00 pm in Seminar Hall 2. 1st semester MBA Students were present for the orientation programme. The resource person communicated that Informal education is natural and incidental. There are no predetermined aims, curricular, methods, teachers and places where children receive informal education: E.g.: Family, community, peer groups, etc. Non-formal education is in-between the formal and informal types of education.
The speaker differentiated between Aspiration, Inspiration, and Perception. He shared the experiences and success stories of great business entrepreneurs to inspire the new batch of MBA Aspirants. He spoke about what are all the possible ways of Informal modes of learning, it can be beyond classroom learning, by observation, by experiment, by failures and improvisation and perfection and last by beyond scope oriented.
Informal Learning Programs will teach the student about little insight into how strongly students are committed their understanding and mastery of course material.
From this session the students were made to realize that goals are important and efforts should be channelized towards these goals.
