IASMS conducted an Orientation Programme on the theme “Young Investors” on 15th January 2021 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm in Seminar Hall 2. 1st semester MBA Students were present for the orientation programme. Students will know about Safety, income, and capital gains are the big three objectives of investing. The skills that students should have are listening skills, observation skills, analytical skills and logical skills.
The speaker emphasised on the skills that students should have. The skills included listening skills, observation skills, analytical skills and logical skills. He explained about all these skills by conducting activities and letting the students to participate in the activities and also by showing the students some examples, so that students can understand the concept very clearly.
He further explained to the students about the value of money, how to spend it wisely and not to waste it on something which is not useful, because if we value the money, even 50 paisa can make a lot of money later on. He then talked to the students about some of the mistakes that we Indians make and that destroy our financial lives; the mistakes such as buying items merely because they offer discounts, spending the entire hard-earned saving on children’s wedding, having a medical insurance, and many other mistakes.
Students were able to comprehend that regular investments made right from an early age can reap huge benefits at the time of retirement.
