The session started by 11:15 AM. Ms. Ramya.B delivered a welcome speech. At first Mr. Gurupreet Walia informed the topic and had covered in the whole session. The main topics were, Understanding the placement process, Creating a lasting impression in GDs, How to position your competencies, Make impressive Resume to stand out, Master the soft skills to crack interview, Highlight your skill set to differentiate. Then he started with the topic Interviewer and Interviewer’s perspective. He spoke about hard work consistent path that moulds us. And also about the placement process journey Understanding self- who am I? Analyse your competencies, Make a list of hard skills and Soft skills. Then he mainly spoke about the Resume preparation such as How to prepare yourself for GD, preparation for interviews. Like how to examine the job description, do a detailed research on the company and role, practice your speaking voice and body language. This was explained in detail. He also mentioned about Star technique: They are some displaying competencies for the role. He also shared some success mantras such as sell yourself; improve your personality development, discipline and hard work, humility and generosity, social network. Ramya from 3rd sem MBA conveyed a vote of thanks and feedback form was given to every student.
