Indian Academy Centre for Professional Excellence (IACPE)
The Indian Academy Centre for Professional Excellence (IACPE) is established to complement the objectives of promoting Excellence, Relevance and Professionalism in all academic operations.
IACPE promotes networking and collaboration with industry to help in design and delivery of customized programs for students. The IACPE also provides consultancy services to the corporate organizations in strategic management and other areas of management to gain competitive advantage. The IACPE also participates in their employee-development programs both in design and delivery.
The Centre for Professional Excellence organizes personality development programs with professionals for all students on a regular basis. The curriculum for these courses is developed by the professionals and classes for the same are integrated with the regular time-table of regular courses.
The IACPE coordinates with the departments and faculty members in extending consultancy services and it also takes on the responsibility of publicizing the available expertise in the college among the industry circles. As the IACPE is always in interface with the industry and other organizations including NGOs on different programs and different occasions, the message spreads freely about the nature and scope of consultancy services and expertise available in the College.

- Meridian International Institute for training Airline Ticketing & Tourism
- Sembramky Environmental Management Pvt. Ltd to associate in the areas of promoting awareness on disposal bio-medical waste as per the guidelines of the Pollution Control Board, to provide industry-based knowledge and expertise
- BiOZEEN – Bangalore Biotech Labs Pvt. Ltd. To collaborate in staff/faculty training and for Student Projects
- Grindwell Norton Ltd – collaboration with the students and research faculty in IADC & development of anti-bacterial scrub
- Nidan Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has provided training in soft skills, ICT, Banking, Retailing disciplines
- CADD Center has been providing skill-based training in MS office

The Indian Academy Centre for Entrepreneur Learning (IACEL) was established to promote entrepreneurial skills among students. This initiative is based on the realization of increased opportunities for entrepreneurs in today’s Liberalized, Globalized, and Free Market era. As IADC offers many courses in multiple disciplines it provides innumerable opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to come together in their entrepreneurial efforts.
The IACEL acts as a catalyst in entrepreneurial development through the following initiatives:
- Incubation centers
- Benchmarking and capital mobilization
- Collaborating with nodal entrepreneurial networks like: the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE), Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Karnataka (AWAKE), Department of Science and Technology (DST)
Indian Academy Centre for Research & Post Graduate Studies (IACRPGS)
The primary objective of IACRPGS is to initiate and nurture research and to promote interdisciplinary research among the faculty in Indian Academy Group of Institutions. The other objectives include development of necessary infrastructure, enable faculty receive funding from external funding agencies like Department of Science and Technology, University Grants Commission etc., and to establish and nurture collaboration with other institutions to promote research. Other areas of focus include integration of research with teaching learning and students’ participation in faculty research to promote experiential learning.

Value-based education is a priority at Indian Academy. Accordingly, SACEHV has been established. Under the auspices of the centre, several programs to inculcate values in students and employees have been organized. The Centre continues to impact students and staff through its thoughtful initiatives.
Indian Academy Centre for Students’ Placement Services (IACSPS)
The IACSPS is an established wing for all Placement-related activities and services, provides focused pre-placement activities & Placement support to students; these initiatives of the IACPS have contributed to the successful employment of the students. The Centre for Placement Services takes care of all placement activities including career guidance, pre-placement training on Preparation of Resumes, Interview-facing skills, Mock Interviews, Group Discussions etc.
IACSPS also regularly interface with the Industry & external expertise to help students identify the gaps in their skill sets and enable them to acquire these skills. Such continued association with industry partners has led to their participation in our campus recruitment processes resulting in many job placements for our students.
In addition to the pre-placement training and support, we have also equipped our library with many books, periodicals and other study material in career-based subjects.
We have also introduced the continuous involvement of experts who train students in soft skills such as Interpersonal skills, Corporate Communication, Team-building skills, Personality Development and other competencies.
IACSPS conducts campus interviews on multiple occasions by inviting major recruiters, industry leaders and provides opportunities for students placements. IACSPS coordinated the placement process by effective interfacing with the recruiters and students.
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
With its motto of “Unity and Discipline”, the NCC has become instrumental in moulding character and imparting in our students, a dynamic outlook during their college education.
Indian Academy Degree College has established a NCC unit with authorized cadet strength of 54. This NCC unit attached to the NCC directorate of KAR & GOA, Bangalore. 6/B Company NCC of Indian Academy Degree College, Bangalore is attached to 8 Karnataka BN NCC, Karnataka and Goa Directorate.
The mission and vision of our NCC wing is to create awareness among the student community regarding its importance towards nation building. Besides, an NCC cadet is presented with a plethora of job opportunities in reputed government and public sector concerns. NCC fine tunes the personality of a person in total and mentally equips him to face the various challenges he/she may encounter in his/her life.

National Service Scheme (NSS)
NSS program is aimed at inculcating societal obligations of an individual and promote the spirit of community service among students. ‘NOT ME, BUT YOU’ is the motto of NSS, reflecting the the value of selfless service to the society.
Indian Academy Degree College, Indian Academy College of Nursing and Indian Academy Pre-University College have established NSS units in association with the respective universities and Boards. We have healthy student enrollments in our NSS units across the colleges in IAGI. Faculty members are given additional role as NSS Coordinator to carryout NSS activities in the colleges.
NSS activities are designed and implemented to promote the objectives of National Service Scheme. NSS camps are conducted to help students understand the needs and problems faced by people and involve them in solving some of these problems.
Some of the major NSS initiatives at IAGI include:

- Awareness rallies conducted to sensitize public in on Road Safety and Traffic Rules
- A camp to sensitize public in the significance of voting along with Voter ID registration

- Demo on Fire Hazards on the occasion of Fire Day as an awareness programme in association with Hebbal Fire Station, Bangalore.
- Energy Conservation Day on every second Saturday of the month.
- Judiciary Support for Women’s Safety in association with Vanitha Sahayavani, Police Commissioner Office, Bangalore.
- Awareness rally on Environmental issues in Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology on World Environment Day.
- Tree plantation in the neighborhood in association with Bangalore Bruhut Mahanagara Palike.
